2025.02.15 Session Notes
A whole lot of planning. We all know how that goes for us.

Characters: Daniel, London, Kevin, Sergei
Hans Phone Call
We open with a phone call with Hans.
- Mention Magnum Opus
- Mention Alona Wainright
- Emphasize that we think the GB witch is in over their head
- Hans sees us as his “Last Best Hope” (tag - 3)
- “Scary uptight bitch” — a lot of money, connections
- Even Rachel's afraid of Magnum Opus
- Hans comes to meet us at London's house in the Old Quarter for some scheming.
Alona Wainright

- The Alchemy of the Soul manuscript was a fake — identified by Alona Wainright.
- She’s a lawyer — very wealthy
- Known art collector
- Seems to always be one step ahead of the game (right place, right time)
- Has an office at Wainright Auctioneers in the Old Quarter
The Plan
- Hans will come with us to get us in to the factory since he's on the "allow list".
- Original plan was to fake Rachel going through the furnace, but we don't have a powerless person willing to take that on.
- Haimer has agreed to help Hans and Rachel disappear once we get them out, even though she can't go in with us.
- So now we just grab Rachel and GTFO.
- She's never going to go along with this, so Hans says we'll probably have to tie her up/knock her out/something, and he promises he wont' hate us for it.
- We put Geoffrey in charge of the Rift of the GB witch once we get a hold of it.
- We have a +2 "CAT-astrophe" tag to use the Sorcerer's Apprentice rift with Schrödinger's Cat.
- At minimum, we get everyone out and Geoffrey (as the GB witch) collapses the enclave.
The Bones
- Deconstructed Veves — voodoo symbols of Loa; need several of them together to make one symbol
- The Loa are a synchronization of a Catholic Saint + a Uroba Gods (west african) — Mme Brigitte, Papa Lega, etc — each god has their own Veves.
- Usually drawn on the floor in cornmeal, but instead we can create a talisman for a specific Loa using these bones.
- (We haven't done anything with these yet.)
