Into the Storm

Nicodranas

The party travels to Nicodranas to secure passage to Xarzith Kitril.
Khoraka negotiates passage for them on a schooner named the Quick Fortune.
They do some shopping, relaxing, and carousing before spending the night at an inn in the city.
The next morning they board the Quick Fortune, moving further out to sea rather than hugging the coast to avoid the stronger swells.

Ship life is ship life.
The lookout sees a storm but the captain doesn’t anticipate problems.
Turns out he’s wrong and the ship gets caught in a raging storm on the open ocean.
In the aftermath, the captain realizes the storm has pushed the ship out towards Inkclaw Reef, near Urukayxl and the Swavain Islands.
Another ship has run aground on the reef, and smoke rises from the recent wreckage.
The Quick Fortune approaches the wreck to offer assistance to any survivors.
