One step closer to the mysteries of Erash’s past.

2026.01.03 Session Notes
The Temple of Sutur, where we wake.
Snow: It’s the hokey-pokey. It’s… a dance from the Savalirwood.
Ferric: That’s what it’s all about…

The Temple of Sutur

Phelan (re: Snow): It's better when her mouth is full.
  • FGC awaken in a crypt like room in the Temple of Sutur where their bodies were placed in repose.
  • Valgar is not there.
  • Neither is Planksnapper.
  • They scare the crap out of a serving girl who runs and gets Zhadrel, the High Forger, who arrives with Velthara and Kharzum in tow.
  • They tell them their tale of their afterlife experience. There is much awe and disquiet among the Azers over this.
  • The FGC get some food and discuss their experiences, and some juicy character stuff, and give a small salute to the Brightbound, who saved the world and nobody will ever know.
  • Valgara returns, and everyone is relieved.
  • They make a plan: since nobody will be looking for us, we decide to sneak into the Vizier’s palace while the Azers cause a distraction. The Azers remind us about things to watch out for in the palace — namely eyes that mean we can be seen — and refreshes our collective memory on what we’re looking for — a mural of Gaushroth that hides a fire portal only Erash can use safely, which our Azer-crafted weapons will guide us towards.

The infiltration

The estate of the Grand Vizier
Erash: Are there any murals there? If there are, I want to do them!
  • In the market outside the Grand Vizier’s estate, Velthara, the Azer priestess, starts storytime… about the family of Al Khaleed. This act of rebellion inspires others, who begin to sing and chant. It draws the attention of the fire giant guards outside the estate.
  • The party sneaks in through the upstairs balcony, with most people misted and Snow and Phelan on the ground sneaking.
Erash: You have permanent farts following you.
  • It’s uneventful (with some clutch Ignan translation from Erash) until they find themselves at a hallway of magical mirrors that Erash scouts and finds guards at the other end. More guards are headed towards them….
  • Hijinks ensue.
Phelan: Nothing says a party like a werewolf with the zoomies.
  • The party follows the vibrating tug of their weapons through the estate, dashing down a hallway lined with the eyes the Azer warned them about, and find a room that houses the mural. Faz’hul al-Tasim comes barreling down an intersecting hallway with his guards, having seen them through the scrying eyes.
Phelan: I mean, I’ve been led around by my belt afore, but this is… not quite the same.
  • They slow their pursuers down long enough to make it through the mural and the portal behind it with seconds to spare as Faz’hul al-Tasim launches himself in after them, only to end up as a charred pile of bones and a large magic greatsword In the interior of a mysterious chamber…
