The Lazy DM’s Guide

Time passeth… here’s a Lazy DM’s guide to recent events.

It's been a number of weeks since I did a summary. Sooooo here's a very short form of what's been happening.

Nicodranas

The Gathering of Colors

We went to Nicodranas and said goodbye to newfound friends who all now owe you a couple of favors. We invited Shard to visit Feolinn.

We contracted a ship, the Silver Duchess, to take us to Feolinn under Captain Brigham Ballister.

We hung out a bit in the city, did a bunch of wandering through the market.

We toured the Mother's Lighthouse and left offerings to Melora within its walls.

We parted ways with Phelan and Bran. Phelan promised not to get into too much trouble and plans to meet you in Feolinn later.

We went big and did dinner and a show at the Lavish Chateau, where you saw The Ruby of the Sea, a legendary songstress and courtesan, perform.

You stayed there for the night.

Khoraka underwent a creepy ritual his patron dictated to replace his magical whip with a sword, better disguising his appearance. She doesn't seem very happy with him right now...

The next day, you boarded the Silver Duchess and set sail for Feolinn.

The Open Ocean

You spent two relatively uneventful (relatively, unless you're Erash) days aboard the Silver Duchess a fair distance off the coast.

Overnight the third day, Snow spied a storm brewing.

It ended up not being an ordinary storm, but instead a fast-moving, magical mess of water, wind, and feathers that nearly got our intrepid heroes killed.

One of the fallen harpies carried a magical mirror decorated with detritus from the sea and was backed with leather made from the tanned tattoo of some unfortunate sailor. You opted not to look in it but instead put it away somewhere.

She also carried several thousand in Kryn Dynasty gold. This gave the group pause, because the Clovis Concord is the politically neutral entity on Wildmount, being the only source of off-continent trade.

Ballister muttered something darkly about Goody Windrider while studying the patterns of the clouds overhead.

After a breath, the worried crew ran to the hold only to find a hole torn in the side, the ship taking on water, and their "under the radar" cargo missing. The ship was carrying several small chests of residuum north. They have no idea how anyone even knew it was aboard, given the whole point of putting it on a small merchant ship was to downplay its value.

(I can't remember if you learned anything about residuum or not, but you can ask me later.)

Feolinn

The Garden City

After some hasty repairs, the crew dropped you at your promised destination in Feolinn. You were met at the dock by the harbormaster, who knew your names and put you in the charge of his teenage nephew, Andrew. Andrew took you to the city center, where you received a letter and a chest that had been delivered some time ago and was being held for you.

To my Freaky Gray Company,
When I informed my head of residence that I had sold off the Wildevine estate, I was met with distressing news.
Unfortunately, it seems that my family country abode has fallen into derelict disrepair since my long-departed Aunt Gertrude was in residence. Why this was kept from me is a mystery, and I will have commensurate words with my staff.
Please accept the enclosed as a token of both my gratitude and as my recompense for the state of your residence. I trust it will be enough to resolve the damage.
Kindest Regards,
S.

Andrew was charged with taking you to your estate, and on the way, he nervously asked you about it and told you about the rumors plaguing the house and a friend of his who has gone missing...
